We need a spyglass or binoculars
there are so many great vistas in this game. Places where you can perch on a clifftop and look around to see 50 monsters stalking about and the amazing landscape. This game needs binoculars... or a spyglass or something. It's not out of keeping with the style of the game and it would do nothing but add to the potential.

A piratey looking glass would be kind of cool for a rare item.

It would be cool as a special item... I would get it eventually. But I just want to be able to look far away at things when I'm overlooking a valley, crater or looking down from a mountain or mesa. Also I'd like to be able to look at creatures up close without aggravating them.

I would also like to see this. I love the graphics of GW and showing it to friends who have yet to buy the game. The creeps are especially detailed, but it's not easy getting a good look at them without them beating you with everything them have.
Again, make it a rare drop.

Die, Warcraft fiend! Or am I misinformed and "creeps" is a common synonym for "mob"?
Anywho, I think this would be a pretty "fun" addition, but I can't really think of any good uses...as enemy detection range is very, very short (until they hit the white circle surrounding your dot on the radar) you will probably see them before they see you. This leaves the binoculars items as merely a fun or cool little extra. Just my opinion on the potential tactical use of a magnifying item.
